Abul Ala Maududi was born in aurangababd in Hindustan the now part of India, He was the youngest son of Moulana Ahmedl Hassan. His father was a lawyer by profession. According to him his grand fathers were moved to India from chisht Afganistan. His maternal side grandfather was from Turkish origin a renowned poet in Delhi and very close friend of Mirza Asad Ullah Khan Ghalib.
Abul Ala Maududi received his early education from his father till the age of nine. After that he also attended studentship of many great teachers. He have attained expertise in many aspects of Islamic Law, Fiqa, Jurisprudence, Hadith and Mantiq.

He also translated many books from different languagaes into Urdu including Asfar of Mulla Sidra who was a Persian-Shia thinker.
At the age of 11 Maududi was admitted in middle class school under the studentship of Moulana Shibli Naumani. Maududi’s interest in philosphy developed here. His vision was to make Islam’s pure and true essence into day to day life.

He was a balanced modernist. Maududi brought Islam into politics. He wanted to make Islamic Sharia based Law for country later. He had written many manuscripts, Books and Articles. His work has been translated into many other languages including Arabic, English, Turkish, Hindi, Bengali , Tamil and many others.
Abul Ala Maududi wanted to make it ensured that Islamic values are saved for future generations so that the modern day sins and involvement of socialism, or liberalism do not indulge in Islam.
