Surah Baqarah

Surah Baqarah is the second surat of Holy Quran. Al baqarah is the longest surah of the Quran. Al-Baqara was believed revealed at Medina over a long period after the Hijrat. Surat AL Baqarah contains 286 verses 40 rukuh and it is in chapter 1,2 and 3 of the Quran. It is a Madni surah. The Holy Prophet SAW has said that whoever recites the first four verses of Surah al-Baqarah, accompanied by the ‘ayatul kursi’ together with the last three verses of this Surah – and makes a habit of reciting these verses daily – his life, property and family will be protected and no evil shall come upon them.
