Israr Ahmed was born in Hisar province in east Punjab in the British Indian empire. His father was a a Civil Servant in British government who relocated his family from Hisar to sahiwal in Pakistan. After his early education he moved to Lahore to attend king Edward Medical College for his MBBS. Later he obtained a master’s degree in Islamic education from Karachi. Professionally being a doctor, asrar Ahmed was enthusiastic theologian a philosopher and an Islamic scholar. He had a great interest in Islamic education. Israr wanted to deliver and preach the true religion islam. He also joined jamaat e Islami but very early you had to leave the party. Asrar Ahmed also participated in electrolar politics.

Israr Ahmed also founded his foundation named tanzeem-e-islami with the same roots as jamaat e Islami. He had written more than 60 books, number of articles and speeches. Many of his books are also translated in many foreign languages. Government of Pakistan also awarded him sitara Imtiaz in 1981. He was a great influential Islamic scholar.It was famous that he used to say that Pakistan will be the initiator of Islamic renaissance. More than four decades he remained active in awakening the quranic philosophy. In Gulf, Saudi, India and Pakistan he had a great following.
