Hafiz Mohammad Saeed

Hafiz Mohammad Saeed is an Islamic preacher and co-founder of Islamic militant group lashkar e taiba and also the leading member of jammiat e dawwa.

Hafiz saeed was born in Sargodha. While his elders moved from Haryana india to Pakistan after separation. His late father says they had sacrificed many lives near to fifty of their own family during migration process.
Hafiz Mohammad saeed had learned Quran in a very early age. He had been a student of University of Sargodha which was initially a college at his time. Saeed later earned a master’s degree from king saud University Saudi Arabia in Islamic studies.
Hafiz saab had expert knowledge of Arabic and Islamic studies. He had also taught in Saudi universities and had been a lecturer in university of engineering and technology Lahore.
Hafiz Saeed had been a member of Islamic council board as appointed by General Zia ul Haq . This appointment made him travel to Saudi Arabia for higher studies. He belongs to salafi and wahabi school of thought.
Hafiz saeed had an allegation of involvement in Mumbai attack in India which he completely denies. He and his foundation had been banned in a number of countries including India, UK , USA.
Hafiz saeed emphasizes on jihad for Kashmir cause and makes it clear that no other thing can let it happen except jihad. He has been under cover since demand of India increased for his possession.
